Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a high-level meeting with United Arab Emirates Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, focusing on strengthening economic cooperation between Andhra Pradesh and the UAE.
During the discussions, the UAE minister expressed willingness to collaborate with Andhra Pradesh in the food processing sector, agreeing to link the Dubai Food Cluster with the State’s proposed food processing clusters. Al Marri also assured support in facilitating the entry of around 40 UAE-based companies to establish operations in Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister briefed the UAE minister on the State’s vast investment potential across key sectors including food security, logistics, port-led industries, renewable energy, urban development, tourism and infrastructure. He highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s strategic coastal advantage, robust port network and investor-friendly industrial policies. The meeting also witnessed discussions on the proposal by the Sharaf Group to set up a Multi-Modal Logistics Park in Andhra Pradesh, aimed at strengthening supply chains and export infrastructure.
Expressing optimism over the growing partnership, Chandrababu Naidu said strategic collaboration with the UAE would significantly accelerate industrial growth, employment generation and exports in Andhra Pradesh.
“The UAE’s global expertise in logistics, food processing and infrastructure aligns well with Andhra Pradesh’s development priorities. This partnership will open new avenues for investment and trade,” the Chief Minister said.
Responding positively, UAE Minister Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri assured full cooperation from both the UAE government and leading Emirati companies to expand long-term collaboration with Andhra Pradesh.
