Vidya Balan warns netizens about her viral AI-generated video

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan took to social media to warn her fans about several fake videos of her circulating on the internet. She stated that the malicious videos were created using artificial intelligence (AI) and urged everyone not to fall prey to them.

In one of the videos, an AI-generated version of Vidya is seen seated on a sofa saying, “Hey, main hoon aap sabki favourite Vidya Balan...”. While sharing the video, the actress included a large “Scam Alert” graphic. Along with the video, she wrote a note for her Instagram followers that read, “There are multiple videos currently circulating on social media and WhatsApp, which appear to feature me. However, I want to clarify that the videos 

are AI-generated and inauthentic. I have no involvement in their creation or dissemination, nor do I endorse their content in any way.” She went on to say, “Any claims made in the videos should not be attributed to me, as it does not reflect my views or work. I urge everyone to verify information before sharing and be cautious of misleading AI-generated content.”
