The Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple in Vemulawada, Rajanna Sircilla district, has come under scrutiny following allegations of sub-standard laddu prasadam being sold to devotees. The issue surfaced amid claims on social media and elsewhere that the sacred offering failed to meet quality standards, potentially compromising the health and sentiments of pilgrims.

Temple authorities have emphasised that the laddu is prepared using high-quality ingredients, including ghee, sugar, and gram flour, under supervised conditions. However, the allegations have prompted immediate action to uphold the shrine's prestige and ensure devotee satisfaction.

In response, Telangana Endowments Minister Konda Surekha swiftly intervened, directing temple officials to furnish comprehensive details about the incident. During a review, the Minister inquired into the procurement, preparation, and quality control processes for the laddu prasadam. She stressed the importance of maintaining impeccable standards to prevent any lapses that could hurt devotees' feelings. Minister Surekha issued key instructions to temple staff to exercise utmost caution in all operations related to prasadam. Additionally, she ordered strict action against individuals or groups spreading false propaganda that could tarnish the temple's reputation.
