Andhra Pradesh minister for Labour, Factories, Boilers and Medical Insurance Services Vasamsetty Subhash said on Thursday that the lives of many poor people are being saved through Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Letter of Credit (LoC). The Minister personally handed over the cheque of Rs. 10 lakh Letter of Credit (LoC) sanctioned to Pati Yamini, a thalassemia sufferer from Allavaram, Kodurupadu Rural Mandal, East Godavari District, to her father Srinivasa Rao at his office in the State Secretariat on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the state government is providing complete assurance for the welfare and health of the poor and vulnerable sections. He said that the relief fund is supporting many families who are facing financial difficulties due to the inability to undergo expensive medical treatment in private and corporate hospitals. On this occasion, the beneficiaries who received the cheques thanked Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Vasamsetty Subhash.
