Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized that education is the foundation for societal progress and global competitiveness. Speaking at a book launch on the education sector in Jubilee Hills, he said, “If we want to compete globally, it is only possible through education.”

Highlighting the transformative power of education, Bhatti stated it is the key to eliminating backwardness and creating an egalitarian society. He acknowledged the historical efforts of leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru in establishing premier institutions such as IITs and RECs, which have helped Indians, especially Telugus, reach top global positions.

He noted the growth of private institutions into universities offering advanced tech education and stressed the need for curricula that evolve with societal and industrial demands.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the government has launched a Skill University to align education with industry needs. Additionally, 100 old ITIs have been upgraded into advanced tech centers based on inputs from industry experts.

To provide quality education to the underprivileged, the government is establishing Young India integrated residential schools in every Assembly constituency. Each will be built on 25 acres with Rs 200 crore investment, offering full residential facilities. A government order has been issued for the simultaneous construction of 104 such schools across the state.

Bhatti also announced Rs 500 crore for infrastructure development at Koti Women’s College, which has been renamed after freedom fighter Chakali Ailamma. Osmania University is also receiving improved facilities and faculty recruitment, especially from the BC community. After a decade of neglect, Bhatti said, the government is now prioritizing education and healthcare, planning ahead for the next 50 to 100 years. He urged private institutions to actively contribute to educational development and assured government support in addressing their challenges.
