Akanksha Chamola reveals she and husband Gaurav Khanna are divorcing after living separately for a year

Ashocking revelation unfolded on an OTT reality show when contestant Akanksha Chamola opened up about her personal life during the introduction round. As part of the ‘Expose’ card task, contestants were asked to reveal a secret about themselves or their fellow inmates. Given the choice between revealing a secret about herself or housemates Shreya Kalra and Shresta Iyer, Akanksha chose to speak about her own life. Making an emotional confession, she said, “So, me and Gaurav are getting a divorce,” leaving 

the housemates stunned. She further revealed, “We have been living separately for the last one year and it has not been public. But now...” before breaking down in tears. “So, that’s my secret,” she added.

Couple faces social media backlash

The revelation sparked widespread reactions online, particularly because Akanksha had appeared during the family week of Bigg Boss 19 to support Gaurav. The couple had shared affectionate moments on the show, including hugging, kissing and celebrating their wedding anniversary, leading many viewers to believe their marriage was going strong.

Following Akanksha’s announcement, several social media users questioned the couple’s public image, with some accusing them of portraying a happy marriage despite allegedly living separately.

One user wrote, “If they were already separated for a year, then what was that 9th anniversary romance in BB? Seriously, itna fake.”
