Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has reiterated that any action to hold former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao accountable will strictly adhere to legal protocols, dismissing notions of personal grudge. In an informal interaction with media in Delhi after high-level meetings with Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Ram Mohan Naidu, Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal, the CM addressed ongoing probes into alleged irregularities during the BRS regime.

"We will go as per the rules to put KCR in jail," Revanth Reddy stated emphatically, emphasizing transparency. He mocked phone tapping as a "mental illness" that shortens lifespans, vowing no such practices under his government. Highlighting the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project scam, he announced an expert committee to investigate, promising to table all documents in the Assembly soon.

The CM questioned the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) selective scrutiny, noting it targeted Sonia and Rahul Gandhi but spared KCR despite serious allegations of corruption in Singareni Collieries dues and the Formula E race. "If ED can question the Gandhis, why not KCR?" he quipped, accusing KCR's family of undue influence.

Reiterating his commitment to 2029 polls and continued leadership, Revanth Reddy urged patience for judicial processes, underscoring the Congress government's focus on accountability and public welfare.

Revanth meets Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal

In focused one-on-one sessions, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and AICC General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal, sharing comprehensive insights into state's political landscape including the local body results and developmental trajectory. CM elaborated on how welfare measures have translated into tangible electoral gains, emphasizing the 70% sweep in panchayat polls as a mandate for Congress's inclusive governance model. He underscored the negligible inroads by BRS and BJP, attributing this to the government's unwavering commitment to promises fulfilled—from housing for the underprivileged to subsidized essentials that have alleviated household burdens.

Rahul Gandhi commended the CM's leadership in nurturing youth potential through educational and skill-building initiatives, including the establishment of integrated residential schools and a dedicated skills university. He highlighted these as blueprints for national replication, praising the seamless party-government interface that has galvanized local cadres. Similarly, KC Venugopal lauded the proactive field engagements, noting how they have cultivated unshakeable public trust. Both leaders extended hearty congratulations on the panchayat victories and anticipated parallel successes in urban local body results, viewing them as harbingers of Congress's resurgence in the state.
