Women must lead: Soumya Mishra

The Hyderabad Management Association, in collaboration with the All India Management Association, hosted the “EMERGE” summit at Begumpet, focusing on ‘From Women Development to Women-Led Development.’ Chief Guest Dr. Soumya Mishra, Director General of Telangana Prisons Department stressed that true societal progress depends on women taking leadership roles, not just participating. She noted that women must step into decision-making positions across corporate and business sectors to drive change.

Aligned with the theme “Management in the AI Era,” discussions covered AI, entrepreneurship, leadership, and wellness. HMA President Alwala Devender Reddy highlighted the need for women-led growth amid global disruptions.

Speakers including Gayatri Kamineni, Karuna Gopal, and Chitra Sood emphasized leadership, entrepreneurship, and technology adoption. The summit concluded with a call for inclusive pathways to empower women leaders.
