Yashoda Hospitals, Hitech City, hosted the inaugural ‘GI-Focus’ conference, dedicated to upper Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, specifically Esophageal and Gastric cancers. The event gathered over 500 surgeons from across India, representing surgical gastroenterology, surgical oncology, and general surgery.
The ‘GI-Focus’ conference offered a clinical-academic platform focused on the latest advances in gastrointestinal cancer management. Highlights included expert-led sessions on advanced surgical strategies, multimodal treatment planning, landmark trial reviews, and mentorship sessions connecting experienced professionals with emerging surgeons. A key feature was the hands-on surgical anastomosis workshop on robotics for young surgeons.
