Telangana Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply and Women & Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka emphasized that there is no greater wealth than good health and that yoga is a powerful means to achieve complete well-being and a beautiful life. She urged people to make yoga an integral part of their daily routine. The Minister was the Chief Guest at the 12th International Yoga Day celebrations organized by the AYUSH Department on Sunday at the Zilla Parishad High School (Boys) grounds in Mulugu town.

Held under the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” the program witnessed active participation from Minister Seethakka, District Collector Borkhade Hemant Sahadeorao and Superintendent of Police Sudheer Ramnath Kekan, who performed various yoga asanas along with other participants. Seethakka said yoga is not merely a form of exercise but a holistic way of life that promotes physical fitness, mental peace, and self-discipline.

She called upon citizens to adopt yoga as a daily practice and contribute towards building a healthier society. Describing yoga as one of India’s greatest gifts to the world, the Minister noted that changing lifestyles, unhealthy dietary habits and increasing dependence on technology have significantly reduced physical activity among people, leading to a rise in various health problems.
