The Cyberabad Police have arrested former YSRCP MLA Bolla Brahmanaidu, the prime accused in an alleged conspiracy to illegally occupy nearly 10 acres of government land in Gandipet mandal through forged government records and fake official documents.
The case was registered at Narsingi Police Station as Crime No. 990/2026 on May 23 following a complaint lodged by Gandipet Tahsildar N. Srinivas Reddy. According to the complaint, fake Government Orders (GOs), fabricated revenue records and other forged documents were created to secure ownership rights and regularisation of government land located in Survey No. 18 of Gandipet mandal.
During the investigation, Narsingi Police and the Cyberabad Economic Offences Wing (EOW) arrested several accused, including members of the Nimmala family, Radhakrishna and his driver Praveen Kumar. They were produced before the court and remanded to police custody for further investigation.
Police said the probe revealed that Bolla Brahmanaidu, Bolla Ramesh, Radhakrishna and members of the Nimmala family allegedly conspired to create forged government records and official documents to establish illegal claims over the land.
Investigators also traced financial transactions worth nearly Rs.12 crore linked to the alleged conspiracy. According to police, Rs.4 crore was paid to members of the Nimmala family, Rs.4 crore to Radhakrishna and another Rs.4 crore to other individuals involved in the operation.
Brahmanaidu had moved the Telangana High Court seeking anticipatory bail. However, the court dismissed his plea after considering the seriousness of the allegations and the ongoing investigation.
Subsequently, a joint team of Narsingi Police and Cyberabad EOW tracked down the absconding former MLA in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, and arrested him on Friday.
