A weekend special drunk-and-drive drive in Cyberabad Commissionerate led to 315 cases, said Traffic DCP Ranjan Ratan Kumar. Among those caught were 268 two-wheeler riders, 15 auto drivers, 28 car drivers and 4 heavy vehicle drivers. BAC tests showed 277 offenders had 36–200 mg alcohol levels, 27 had 201–300 mg, and 11 had 301–550 mg. All will be produced before court. Police warned that causing accidents under intoxication will attract charges under BNS-2023 Section 105, with up to 10 years’ imprisonment and fines. Last week, 120 cases were disposed, with fines for 119 offenders and jail for one.
