National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is likely to join a high-powered Indian delegation at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026, to be held from January 18 to 24 in Davos, Switzerland. India is expected to make a strong impression at the global summit, which will be organised under the theme “a spirit of dialogue.”
Along with Doval, at least four Union ministers—Ashwini Vaishnaw, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Pralhad Joshi and K Ram Mohan Naidu—are expected to attend the five-day meeting. The Indian political presence will also include several chief ministers, highlighting wide representation across parties and states. The chief ministers likely to be present are Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra, N Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh, Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam, Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh, A Revanth Reddy of Telangana and Hemant Soren of Jharkhand. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar is also expected to participate.
In addition, Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Rameshbhai Sanghavi and a high-level delegation from Uttar Pradesh are likely to travel to Davos for the annual global gathering. Indian leaders are expected to take part in several panel discussions, including an important session on whether India can become the world’s third-largest economy. They are also likely to hold bilateral meetings and attend India-focused and global events on the sidelines of the main summit.
India’s corporate participation is expected to be significant, with over 100 top CEOs likely to attend. Prominent business leaders expected at Davos include Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Tata Group chairman N Chandrasekaran, Bajaj Group’s Sanjiv Bajaj, Bharti Group founder Sunil Bharti Mittal, JSW Group chairman Sajjan Jindal, Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, Wipro’s Rishad Premji, Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma and Renew Power CEO Sumant Sinha. Several senior government officials and public sector heads, including DPIIT Secretary Amardeep Singh Bhatia, are also expected to be part of the Indian contingent.

US President Donald Trump and senior members of his administration are also expected.
The summit will focus on global cooperation in a contested world, unlocking new sources of growth, investing in people, deploying innovation responsibly and building prosperity within planetary boundaries.
