All poll promises being kept up by govt: minister

Minister of Mining & Excise Kollu Ravindra on Friday expressed his happiness that the government has kept up every promise it made in the election and that it was the responsibility of leaders to tell the people the good done. He participated in the preparatory event of the "Super Six Super Hit" program at Anantapur. On this occasion, minister Kollu Ravindra mentioned that as per the promise, a pension of Rs 4,000 is being given to senior citizens since July 2024, pension of Rs 6,000 to differently-abled persons and Rs 15,000 to those who are completely unable to move. 

Similarly he mentioned that under the Deepam scheme, the government has provided free gas cylinders to two crore people, financial assistance to each child under “Thalliki Vandanam” and to 67 lakh farmers under “Annadhatha Sukhibhava” schemes. He also mentioned that 16,000 teacher posts are being filled through mega DSC . Some of the other achievements which the minister highlighted included offering meals at Rs 5 through anna canteens, helping the construction sector through the implementation of free sand, and 10 per cent reservation to the toddy tapper community in allocation of liquor shops. The minister also said that the party is taking steps towards strengthening from the village level and formed committees at booth and cluster levels.
