Avinash Kumar assumes charge as DCP Traffic-1

Hyderabad: Senior IPS officer Avinash Kumar on Monday formally assumed charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-1) in the reorganised Hyderabad Police Commissionerate. The newly created Traffic-1 division covers the Khairatabad and Secunderabad Law and Order zones.

After taking charge, Avinash Kumar paid a courtesy visit to Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, IPS. He greeted the Commissioner and presented him with a bouquet on the occasion.

Welcoming the new DCP, the Police Commissioner extended his best wishes and held a brief interaction. He advised Avinash Kumar to conduct a thorough assessment of traffic conditions across the city and focus on strengthening traffic management. Emphasis was laid on improving road safety, easing congestion, and ensuring efficient, citizen-friendly services for commuters and the general public.
