T. Annapurna, IPS, a 2007-batch direct DSP inducted into the Indian Police Service in 2013, assumed charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Admin), Cyberabad on Monday. Upon taking charge, she called on Cyberabad CP M. Ramesh, IPS, as a courtesy.
Before this posting, she served as SP, Vigilance and Enforcement, and also held the position of In-charge Deputy Inspector General of Police. Her earlier assignments include Superintendent of Police, Vikarabad; ADSP Karimnagar; PTC Warangal; DSP Mangalagiri and Guntur; and ADCP Chittoor, where she gained extensive experience in administration, law and order, and training responsibilities.
Speaking after assuming charge, Annapurna said her key priorities would be strengthening administrative efficiency and ensuring transparent functioning. She added that she would focus on professionalism, accountability, and providing effective support to policing operations on the ground.
