Union Minister Bandi Sanjay today stated that all political parties advocating for women's empowerment should extend their support to the women’s reservations bill in Parliament. He asserted that the women would teach a fitting lesson to any party that opposes the Women's Reservation Bill. He described the political reservations for the women in legislative bodies as a decades-old dream while adding that the provision of a 33 percent quota through the Women's Reservation Bill marks a historic milestone. Bandi Sanjay appealed to all parties to support the bill by rising above political considerations.

"The Women's Reservation Bill stands as a symbol of the hopes and aspirations of women. The Women's representation in Parliament must increase. With the delimitation exercise, the number of the parliamentary seats will rise and consequently, 60 women are set to receive opportunities in the Telangana Legislative Assembly," Bandi Sanjay remarked. The 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam'—a bill aimed at providing reservations for women in legislative bodies—is scheduled to be introduced during the special session of Parliament taking place from the 16th to the 18th of this month. Measures are being undertaken to ensure that this legislation comes into effect prior to the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.
