Andhra Pradesh BC Welfare, EWS Welfare; Handloom and Textiles Minister S. Savitha on Wednesday inaugurated the State BC Civil Services Study Circle in Gollapudi mandal of Vijayawada Rural mandal along with legislators, chairpersons of various corporations and officials. She said that the Study Circle has been setup by the State BC Welfare Department at par to the corporate study circles and appealed to the candidates to take advantage of this facility.
After garlanding the statue of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and paying homage, Minister Savita said that 600 candidates had written the qualifying examination and 100 were selected for free civil services training. She recalled that the Chief Minister put his first signature on the Mega DSC and without stopping there, he has taken the initiative to provide free DSC training in all 26 districts.
She explained that online DSC training will also be started soon. Explaining that training each civil services aspirant will cost about Rs. 2 lakhs, she mentioned that the government has set up the civil study circle without thinking on the cost. She called on the youth to be partners in the construction of New Andhra in alignment . The Minister said that the Study Circle is currently running in a temporary building but campus will soon be established in Amaravati on a permanent basis in a good environment.
Civils is difficult but possible: MLA
Speaking at the event, MLA Vasanta Venkata Krishna Prasad said that the youth should make good use of modern technology and reach the heights of excellence with a positive outlook. He said that they have already crossed the first step and should study hard and succeed in the civil services exams. He told that Civil services examination are difficult but not impossible to succeed in.
One should practice for the prelims: MLA Kolikapudi Srinivasa Rao
Tiruvur MLA Kolikapudi Srinivasa Rao said that if one has a clear understanding of what and how to study, success in Civil Services is possible. He said that by taking advantage of the Civil Services Study Circle, one hundred candidates should qualify in the prelims next year and then take steps towards victory in the mains. Srinivasa Rao said that he will also take economics classes.
BC Welfare Department Director Dr. A. Mallikarjuna, Secretary Pola Bhaskar and others explained the facilities provided to the candidates and the steps to success.
