The BC Intellectuals Forum (BCIF) conducted its second anniversary meeting at Abhinandan Grand Hotel, Kachiguda on Thursday. The meeting was presided over by T. Chiranjeevulu, retired IAS officer and Founder President of BCIF. During the event, the BCIF flag, scarf and logo were officially unveiled. The posters for the BC Social Justice Struggle Meeting, scheduled to be held in Nalgonda on August 9, were also released. The meeting was attended by Prof. Veeraswamy, Vice Chairman Banerjee, Suragoni Ramesh, Kurapati Ramesh, Chandrasekhar, Ippanapalli Sambaiah, Srikanth, M. Lingesh Yadav and other leaders.
The meeting unanimously resolved that BCIF should not remain merely an organization for ideological advocacy but should also undertake direct public movements to address people’s day-to-day issues, promote social justice and protect the rights of Backward Classes and other marginalized communities. The meeting also resolved to make effective use of social media platforms to take the BCIF ideology to the grassroots and encourage greater participation of youth in the movement.
It was resolved to conduct training programs across the state during the coming and to strengthen the organizational training structure at the district, mandal and village levels. Finally, the meeting called for strengthening the organization through wider public participation, while accelerating its activities with the objective of achieving social justice.
