The Second Edition of the Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav at Rashtrapati Nilayam, Secunderabad, continues to witness an overwhelming public response. Since its commencement on 22nd November 2025, the festival has crossed 1 lakh visitors as of Day 7, marking a significant achievement in public engagement. With two more days to go, an organic surge in visitor turnout is anticipated. The Textiles and Handicrafts sales have reached nearly ₹2 crore, reflecting strong visitor interest in traditional arts and handlooms.
Food Court sales have crossed almost ₹27 Lakhs, indicating high footfall and enthusiastic participation from the public in the culinary offerings. Culturally, the Mahotsav has showcased almost 29 folk performances to date, featuring 298 artists, representing the diverse artistic traditions of Western India.
These include: Rajasthan: Mashak Vadan, Ravan Hatta, Bahurupiya, Stick Walker, Kalberia Nrutya, Laal Angi, Mayur Nrutya, Sahariya Swang, Bhaavai Goa: Ghumat Vadan, Samayi Nrutya Gujarat: Siddi Dhamal Nrutya, Talvaar Raas, Garba Nritya Maharashtra : Dhol Tasha, Sambal, Lezim, Songi Mukhavate, Lavani–Koli Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu: Bhovada Nrutya, Tarpa Nrutya Alongside the performances, the festival offers curated exhibitions, live craft demonstrations, workshops, and cultural interactions.
Visitor services—including on-spot booking, e-carts, wheelchairs, and dedicated Scholar Guides—continue to function smoothly. Dr. K. Rajani Priya, Estate Manager, Rashtrapati Nilayam, stated that the Mahotsav will remain open until 30th November 2025 , with special attractions and concluding events planned.
