Officials of the Endowments Department have announced that the Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Ammavari Ashada Masam Bonalu Festival in Secunderabad will be celebrated on August 2. On Wednesday, temple priests, under the leadership of Temple Executive Officer (EO) Manohar Reddy, met Dr. Kota Neelima, PCC Vice President and Congress Party In-Charge for the Sanath Nagar Assembly Constituency, at her residence in Banjara Hills and formally extended an invitation to participate in the festivities.
Dr. Kota Neelima, while addressing the gathering, said that since the Congress Government assumed office, the Bonalu festival has been conducted with great prestige and devotion. She noted that the Bonalu celebrations held during the holy month of Ashada bring vibrant festivities and spiritual fervor to Golconda, Secunderabad, and the Old City areas of Hyderabad. Keeping the anticipated turnout in view, Dr. Kota Neelima advised temple authorities to coordinate effectively with various government departments to ensure smooth arrangements for devotees.
