The Leader of Opposition in the Telangana State Legislative Council, Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chari, demanded an investigation into the Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy, accusing him of making demeaning and abusive comments during the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign.

Chari stated that a formal complaint was filed with Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sudarshan Reddy on Thursday, highlighting the CM’s alleged attacks and derogatory remarks about the Muslim community. He added that a copy of the complaint had been handed over to Reddy.

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan, Chari expressed deep concern over the behavior of CM Revanth Reddy and called for appropriate action from the Election Commission. He stated that the BRS party had a historical mission to fight for the rights of the people of Telangana, who had endured decades of injustice and oppression. He credited the BRS, under the leadership of former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), with securing Telangana’s statehood, said that the party had consistently worked for the welfare of the state’s people since its formation.

Chari praised the BRS for implementing several landmark programs that had transformed public life and brought prosperity to Telangana. He emphasized that the party had not only fought for the state’s formation but continued to stand firm in opposition, pushing for the fulfillment of promises made by CM Revanth Reddy.

The Opposition Leader also accused the Congress party of threatening voters by warning that if they voted for BRS, government schemes would be at risk. He further criticized the CM’s behavior, comparing it to that of a "monkey drunk on drugs" and alleged misuse of state machinery during the elections, including police interference and attempts to disrupt opposition meetings. Chari claimed that the police had abused their powers to favor the ruling party, making opposition gatherings difficult to hold.

He concluded by accusing Congress members of intimidation, specifically targeting Shakeel's residence, and urged the Election Commission to take swift action against such misconduct.
