Canara Bank hosts walkathon to raise cyber fraud awareness

Canara Bank’s Mumbai circle office has recently organised a walkathon to raise awareness about ‘cyber frauds’ and promote the use of the 1930 toll-free helpline and the Cyber Crime Police website for reporting online scams. The event was led by CGM Alok Agarwal, DGM Ranjit Jha, and Saravanan P, along with Canara Bank staff. 

Chief guest Senior Police Inspector Cyber Police (BKC) D. V. Chavan delivered a speech on tackling digital frauds. He highlighted the importance of immediate reporting via 1930 to increase recovery chances. As part of canara bank’s awareness initiative in cyber frauds a mobile van carrying awareness messages is also in the road of Mumbai city to sensitize the general public about the cyber related frauds.
