Hyderabad: Jagadgirigutta police arrested a chain snatcher, who had snatched three tola gold mangalsutra from a woman's neck on Tuesday afternoon.

This chain snatching incident happened at 1.30pm on Tuesday under Jagadgirigutta Police Station limits. The victim Alwal Mounika (23), tailor by profession, resident of East Sai Nagar, Alwyn Colony, was returning home for lunch from her tailoring shop at Adityanagar. When she reached near Vasara High School, the accused Mamidi Suresh, native of Rajanna Sircilla district, approached her and snatched away her three tola gold mangalsutra from her neck before fleeing from the spot.

Police immediately visited the crime scene and directed the Jagadgirigutta crime staff to take swift action. Acting promptly, within an hour and a half, the crime team apprehended the accused and successfully recovered the stolen three tola gold mangalsutra.
