Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that building ‘Swarnandhra’ would be possible only if people embraced a change in mindset towards cleanliness, responsibility, and progress. Addressing a massive gathering at the ‘Swarnandhra–Swachhandhra’ programme in Peddapuram, he stressed that development could not be achieved without clean surroundings and constructive thinking.

“Nothing in this world is waste, even garbage can be turned into wealth,” Naidu declared, announcing that the government is working on recycling e-waste and promoting circular economy initiatives. He pledged to make all municipalities in the state garbage-free by October 2, adding that the previous YSRCP government had taxed garbage but failed to manage it responsibly.

The Chief Minister also unveiled plans to establish a 100-bed hospital in Peddapuram and highlighted reforms aimed at combining welfare with economic growth. He pointed to the success of the coalition government’s ‘Super Six’ promises, which critics had dismissed as impractical. “We proved them wrong from cash transfers to farmers under Annadata Sukhibhava, to free bus travel for women, three gas cylinders annually, and free power to 40,000 hair-cutting salons, every promise is being implemented,” he said.

Chandrababu Naidu interacted with students, women entrepreneurs, and local residents at various stalls showcasing recycling projects. He lauded schoolgirls for designing waste segregation models and explored products made from seaweed, such as cosmetics and bio-diesel, noting that such initiatives could empower women in coastal districts.
