Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said that the people of the state had given the NDA coalition an unprecedented mandate by electing its candidates in 164 constituencies, driven by a collective aspiration to rebuild a “destroyed state.” Addressing the “Pedhala Sevalo” public meeting in Unguturu constituency, Naidu said the overwhelming verdict placed a greater responsibility on the government to deliver.
The Chief Minister said that while some mocked the coalition’s Super Six promises, the government proved they could be implemented effectively. He revealed that the state had spent ₹50,763 crore on pensions in just 18 months, an unprecedented level in India. Every year, the coalition government will be spending nearly ₹33,000 crore on welfare, amounting to ₹1.65 lakh crore in five years, he said.
Naidu noted that over 63 lakh beneficiaries receive pensions every month, of whom 59% are women. He criticised the previous administration for raising pensions by only ₹250, compared to the current government’s decision to implement ₹4,000 pensions at once. Schemes such as ‘Talli Ki Vandhanam’, free gas cylinders for three months a year, and instant MSP payments to farmers, he said, were aimed at restoring dignity and financial stability to families.
Highlighting women’s empowerment, he said the Women’s RTC Free Bus Travel scheme had already enabled 25 crore journeys, with the government reimbursing Rs 855 crore to APSRTC. Naidu added that 16,347 DSC jobs were provided and that farmers were receiving incentives under Annadata Sukhibhava and PM-Kisan.
The Chief Minister distributed NTR Bharosa pensions in Gopinathapatnam, where he met kidney patient Gudla Nagalakshmi, assured medical support and interacted with her children. He emphasised that gram sabhas must usher real change, not remain symbolic.
Referring to national and global investments, Naidu said Google had shown interest in investing ₹1.40 lakh crore in Visakhapatnam, and that the recent investors’ summit attracted proposals worth ₹13.25 lakh crore, of which ₹8 lakh crore have already been approved. On irrigation, he assured that the Polavaram Project would be completed and dedicated to the nation by 2027, resolving water issues across the Godavari and Krishna deltas. He also vowed to solve long-standing issues around Kolleru Lake, support aquaculture with ₹850 crore, and promote food-processing industries for crops like coconut, cocoa and coffee.
Positioning the coalition as the only stable alternative for Andhra Pradesh’s future, Naidu said, “As Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has repeatedly said, the NDA must govern this state for 15 to 20 years. Only then can we undo the damage inflicted on Andhra Pradesh.”
Calling for vigilance among citizens, Naidu urged people not to be misled by performers who pretend to work, asserting that the NDA government was moving ahead with “good intentions, strong governance and a clear development agenda.”
