The Telangana Employees’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) has called on the government to implement all pending promises to employees by December 9. With the Prajapalan celebrations scheduled to begin on December 8 and 9, the JAC demanded that government employees, teachers, and pensioners receive their due benefits ahead of the elections. They specifically urged the release of pending Dearness Allowances (DAs), health cards, and pending bills, and requested exemptions for teachers from the TET requirement.

JAC leaders, including Chairman Maram Jagadishwar and Secretary-General Eluri Srinivas Rao, spoke to the media after a meeting at TNGO Bhavan in Nampally. They emphasized that employees should be able to participate in the celebrations and receive all promised entitlements.

The JAC noted that one DA is still pending. The government had announced two DAs, of which one has been released, and the next was due within six months. With the deadline approaching, the JAC demanded that this DA be released in December. Even after this, four more DAs remain pending, and by January, the total will be six. They stressed that the pending DA should be released before the celebrations, in line with G.O. No. 78 issued on June 13, 2025.

The JAC also called for the immediate implementation of the health scheme and issuance of employee health cards. Despite Cabinet Sub-Committee decisions, the scheme has not been implemented, causing difficulties for employees and pensioners.

On pending bills, the JAC said that while the government releases Rs. 700 crore monthly, the actual requirement is over Rs. 1,500 crore. With around 600 employees retiring each month, an additional Rs. 700 crore is needed to clear dues. They demanded the full amount be released immediately to prevent hardship for retirees and their families.

The JAC also requested that teachers appointed before 2010 be exempted from the mandatory TET qualification and urged the state government to pass a resolution in the Assembly and forward it to the Central Government.
