Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday unveiled a cluster of VishwaSamudra Group initiatives at Eedagali village in Venkatagiri mandal, arguing that integrated development of ports and airports will power Andhra Pradesh’s next phase of economic expansion. “Nellore is emerging as a strategic node, where logistics, clean energy, and skills converge,” he told a public gathering after inaugurating an ethanol plant, the Nanda Gokulam Life School, and two cattle-welfare and clean-power initiatives.

Framing the district as a logistics and energy hub, the Chief Minister said Krishnapatnam, Ramayapatnam and Dugarajapatnam ports will anchor industrial growth, while the Dagadarthi airport will enhance regional connectivity. Complementing this pipeline, he flagged the upcoming BPCL greenfield refinery and a KRIBHCO green energy facility, adding that irrigation priorities remain intact. “Somasila and Kandaleru together hold about 150 TMC. We will ensure reliable storage so Nellore never faces water stress.”

Showcasing the green-industry pivot, Naidu toured the VishwaSamudra Bio Energy Ethanol Plant, spread over 24 acres and designed to produce 200 KLD of ethanol. The unit will source more than 15,000 tonnes of broken rice, husk and agri-waste annually, “a win-win that cuts emissions, reduces stubble waste, and puts cash in farmers’ hands,” he said. He lauded the group’s bovine initiatives for conserving native breeds, especially Ongole cattle, and noted the Power of Bull project’s 5 kW in-house generation as a novel circular-economy model.

At the Nanda Gokulam Life School, the CM interacted with students and underlined a P4 approach arguing that scholarships and high-quality schooling for talented, underprivileged children must move in lockstep with investment.

Pitching a statewide investment narrative, Naidu said Visakhapatnam is set for transformational tech investments, noting Cabinet-level approvals for a large data centre and allied digital infrastructure. “Our youth will write algorithms for AI, not just consume them,” he said, asserting that India can be the No. 1 economy by 2047, with AP among the top-performing states.
