Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced the construction of an additional 4.5 lakh Indiramma Houses across Telangana within the next 2.5 years, supplementing the 4.5 lakh already sanctioned. Speaking at a housewarming ceremony in Bendalapadu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, he emphasized the government’s commitment to housing the poor. Joined by ministers and local leaders, Revanth unveiled the Indiramma pylon and distributed sarees to beneficiaries.
He noted that over 2.05 lakh houses are under construction, each supported with ₹5 lakh in four installments and free sand. Contrasting the Congress’s delivery with the BRS’s unfulfilled promises, Revanth recalled that 25 lakh houses were built during the previous Congress government under YSR. He also praised Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy for effective leadership in Housing and Revenue departments.
In Damarcharla, he interacted with beneficiaries, ensuring access to ration cards and fine rice, and reaffirmed the Congress’s mission to uplift the poor through housing, education, and welfare. “No village in Telangana will be without an Indiramma House,” he said, invoking Indira Gandhi’s vision of "Roti, Kapda aur Makaan."
Earlier, in Mahabubnagar, Revanth inaugurated a new unit of SGD-Corning Technologies and emphasized that education and irrigation are key to transforming Palamuru’s future. He announced new colleges, IIITs, Agricultural Training Centers, and ₹2,800 crore for integrated residential schools.
He vowed to complete pending irrigation projects despite legal and political hurdles, ensuring fair compensation in land acquisition. Identifying as a “Palamuru bidda”, Revanth pledged to make Mahabubnagar a global tourist and development hub, urging citizens to resist political distractions and support progress.
