Collector calls for ensuring drinking water in summer

District Collector K. Haritha has instructed officials to take proactive measures to ensure continuous drinking water supply to all villages through the Mission Bhagiratha scheme during the summer season and prevent any water shortages. On Thursday, the Collector visited the Mission Bhagiratha Pump House in Dhanora village of Kerameri Mandal. She inspected the pumping system and enquired with officials about the condition of pipelines. She directed them to immediately resolve any leakages and motor-related issues so that every village receives adequate drinking water without interruption.

Later, Collector K. Haritha, along with Housing Department Project Director T.N. Prakash Rao, inspected the progress of Indiramma Housing (double-bedroom houses) in Kothari Kolam Guda village. Officials informed her that out of 110 houses sanctioned for the village, construction has begun on 108 houses. Seven houses have been completed so far, while 86 houses are currently at the slab stage. The Collector instructed the beneficiaries to ensure quality in construction and complete the houses as per standards. She also directed officials to regularly monitor the works and expedite them.
