IAS-IPS couple display “proactive governance”

In a display of proactive governance, Mahabubabad District Collector Sneha Shabarish and her husband, Superintendent of Police Dr. Shabarish, have won appreciation from farmers for their dedicated efforts to resolve issues in grain and maize procurement. Understanding the distress of the farming community, the couple has been working to instill confidence among farmer families. The couple personally stepped into the field to remove bottlenecks in the ongoing paddy and maize procurement drives across the district.

They have been visiting procurement centres directly, interacting with farmers, listening to their grievances and taking immediate remedial measures. With close coordination between the district administration and police departments, Collector Sneha Shabarish and SP Dr. Shabarish are ensuring the smooth and speedy procurement of grains.  On Thursday, the couple jointly visited procurement centers in the Nellikuduru mandal. They reviewed arrangements for rapid procurement and issued necessary instructions to officials.

They also conducted a detailed review of transportation, unloading operations, godown management, law and order and security arrangements to prevent any disruptions. The duo has taken steps to ensure that farmers do not face any hardships. Special emphasis has been placed on preventing irregularities, middlemen interference or any form of malpractice, enabling farmers to sell their paddy and maize produce directly and without hassle. Many locals and stakeholders have lauded the district leadership for their committed work towards the welfare of farmers.
