Collector conducts surprise inspection in Garla mandal

District Collector Sneha Sabareesh conducted surprise inspections at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), the Community Health Centre and the Tahsildar's Office in Garla mandal on Thursday, reviewing educational standards, student welfare, healthcare services and revenue administration. During her visit to the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, the Collector inspected classrooms and interacted with students to assess their academic progress and understand the issues they were facing. She also examined the kitchen, dining hall, hostel, toilets and drinking water facilities.

The Collector also inspected the construction of additional classrooms and directed engineering officials to expedite the work. She instructed school authorities to ensure that nutritious meals are served to students as per the prescribed menu without compromising on quality. She further directed officials to maintain cleanliness in the hostel, toilets, kitchen, dormitories, and surrounding premises on a daily basis. Reviewing classroom teaching, Collector Sneha Sabareesh instructed teachers to complete the syllabus on schedule and provide special attention to academically weaker students.

Later, the Collector inspected the Community Health Centre and reviewed the medical services being provided to patients. She examined inpatient and outpatient records, staff attendance, and the availability of specialist doctors. She also inspected the quality of food being served to patients and directed hospital authorities to provide hygienic and nutritious meals. The Collector also inspected the Tahsildar's Office, where she reviewed staff performance, pending files and the overall functioning of the office.
