District level “Vidya Vijayotsavam” held

As part of the state government’s “Praja Palana Pragati Pranalika – 99 Days Action Plan”, the district-level ‘Vidya Vijayotsavam’ program was held at the collectorate’s main conference hall on Sunday. The event was presided over by District Education Officer A. Satyanarayana Murthy. MLC Takhellapalli Ravinder Rao and District Collector attended as the chief guests. Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector praised the government’s initiatives for the development of the education sector, infrastructure improvement in schools, and the commendable efforts of teachers in enhancing students’ academic performance.

She said that the Education Week celebrations not only fostered a spirit of competition among students but also served as a platform to bring out the hidden talents of children. The Collector noted that students are bringing pride to the district through their talents and urged parents, teachers and officials to work in coordination to further raise educational standards. She reiterated that the district administration is fully committed to ensuring quality education for every student.

MLC Takhellapalli Ravinder Rao called for providing all basic facilities in government schools so that poor children can receive quality education. He stressed that teachers should work with commitment and dedication. He advised students to study hard from a young age to reach higher positions in life. The MLC assured that he would work beyond political lines for the development of education and health sectors. He urged parents and teachers to counsel students to stay away from drugs and ganja.

The district administration is taking steps to strengthen Intermediate education in the 10 Government Junior Colleges in Mahabubabad. As part of this, four digital TVs have been installed in each college, and funds have been sanctioned for minor repairs to upgrade the college buildings. Nine meritorious students — one from each group — studying first and second year Intermediate in government junior colleges were felicitated for securing the highest marks.

The Collector personally presented cash prizes and mementos to the Intermediate toppers: P. Keerthana, Sanjana, Siri, SK. Afra Tabassum, Kaushik, Varsha, Prashanth, and sports toppers Sahasra, Yashwanth, Nandini among others.
