Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sri Ganesh, Malkajgiri MP Etela Rajender and nominated member Narmada Mallikarjun jointly laid the foundation stone on Thursday for a new shopping complex at Bowenpally Market. The project, part of the market’s development works in the Secunderabad Cantonment constituency, will be built at a cost of Rs 1.60 crore.MLA Sri Ganesh said the new complex is being taken up to provide better facilities for traders and consumers while further developing the market.
He added that the government is making continuous efforts to improve essential civic amenities for the public and to create a more favorable environment for local traders. The MLA specially thanked Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and in-charge minister Ponnam Prabhakar for their support in sanctioning the funds. Market Committee Chairman Ragiri Anand Babu, Cantonment Board nominated member Bhanuka Narmada, Market Committee Directors, Market Secretary Venkatesh, Market Yard Commission Agents Association President Devender Reddy, Congress party leaders, workers and others were present at the program.
