Gemini Edibles and Fats India Ltd (GEF India), makers of Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils, is promoting eco-friendly celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi through its Green Ganesha initiative. The brand is distributing 10,000 eco-friendly Seed Ganesha Boxes 5,000 each in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

These Seed Ganesha Murtis are crafted from clay and embedded with plantable seeds. After immersion, instead of polluting water bodies, they grow into plants, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional Plaster of Paris idols.

The initiative was flagged off by Chetan Pimpalkhute, DGM Marketing, along with the Freedom Oils team. Distribution will cover major apartment complexes including Ridge Towers, My Home Jewel, One City, Swanlake, Rainbow Vista, and others.

As awareness of climate change grows, many devotees are shifting to biodegradable, non-toxic idols. Freedom’s campaign aligns with this shift, encouraging communities to celebrate without harming the environment—blending devotion with sustainability.
