Gadwal handloom showrooms roll out special discount

Marking National Handloom Day, observed every year on August 7 to honour the country's handloom weavers and promote indigenous textiles, the Gadwal Weavers Society has announced a special discount offer for customers at its showrooms in Hyderabad. As part of the celebrations, shoppers can avail a flat 10 per cent discount on purchases made from August 4 to August 8 at the society's Ameerpet and Jubilee Hills branches.

The society stated that the annual festive offer is being extended only once a year as a gesture to encourage people to support traditional handloom products and the artisans. Customers visiting the showrooms can choose from a wide collection of handloom sarees and other textile products available in fresh designs, attractive colour combinations and newly introduced varieties.

Officials of the Gadwal Weavers Society said the initiative is intended to create greater awareness about the importance of handloom weaving while encouraging the use of authentic handwoven fabrics. National Handloom Day is observed across the country to recognise the contribution of lakhs of weaving families and to strengthen the handloom sector. The society invited customers to make use of the limited-period offer and support the rich heritage of Gadwal handloom craftsmanship.
