To prevent water stagnation and ensure smooth traffic flow during rains, GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan conducted an inspection of flood-prone zones in Serilingampally on Wednesday and directed engineering officials to take swift action.

He was accompanied by Traffic Joint Commissioner Gajarao Bhupal, Zonal Commissioner Hemanth Sahadevarao Borkhade, Hydra Commissioner Ranganath, and executive engineers during the visit to key locations affected by waterlogging.

At Jubilee Enclave Kaman near Medicover Hospital, the Commissioner reviewed the drainage system. He later visited the outlet point of Tammidikunta Lake opposite Shilparamam and inspected a water stagnation spot near Smileline Dental on Yashoda Hospital Road in Hi-Tec City. He instructed the construction of a stormwater drain at the Smileline Dental junction and ordered the removal of garbage dumped by Hydra vehicles near Tammidikunta Lake.

Karnan also emphasized the need to remove silt accumulating after heavy rains and directed officials to stay alert during the monsoon. He stressed timely flood mitigation to prevent traffic disruptions.
