Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav asserted that the state government is committed to providing public healthcare services on par with corporate hospitals, especially for the underprivileged. Speaking at a development event in Gangadhara Nellore constituency, the minister highlighted ongoing efforts by both the state and central governments to improve the healthcare infrastructure.

The Minister, accompanied by MLA Thomas and other officials, inaugurated the upgraded Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Palasamudram. As part of the event, he also virtually launched health camps in multiple villages, Chowdepalle, Shanthipuram, Tavanampalle, Palasamudram, Bugga Agraharam, and Baireddipalle, under Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages’ (HCCB) CSR initiative Project Shine.

Addressing the gathering, the minister emphasized the importance of philanthropic contributions in transforming public healthcare facilities. “We are undertaking the construction of 3,500 village-level health clinics using funds from the 15th Finance Commission, with a sanctioned budget of Rs.1,095 crore. The tendering process will soon be completed, and construction will begin at a faster pace,” he said.

Taking a swipe at the previous government, the Minister said, “The earlier administration had neglected 108 and 104 emergency services. Our coalition government has revived these ambulance services and is now delivering quality medical aid to the public.”
