@Pawankhera @BillGates is in India. A few things worth remembering:
1. In 2024, he said that India "is kind of a laboratory to try things that then when you prove them out in India, you can take to other places." He thinks of us Indians as lab rats and guinea pigs.
2. He has recently been the centre of the #Epstein scandal - has documented associations with #Epstein and his sex-trafficking network.
3. In 2011, #Epstein was discussing with Bill Gates - “How do we get rid of poor people as a whole?”
4. Bill Gates was discussing pandemic simulations with #Epstein in 2017, 3 years before the pandemic began.
So yeah, welcome back ‘Mr.’ Gates!

Microsoft co-founder and Chair of the Gates Foundation, Bill Gates, received a warm and cordial welcome from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to the State Secretariat in Amaravati on Monday, marking a significant engagement focused on technology-driven governance, healthcare innovation, and long-term development partnerships.
As Gates arrived at the Secretariat’s first block, he was personally received by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Greeting the Chief Minister with a friendly “Hello, friend… how are you?”,
Gates shared a moment of familiarity reflecting their long-standing professional association. The Chief Minister subsequently introduced members of his Cabinet and Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand to Gates.
Accompanied by the Chief Minister, Gates visited the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) centre at the Secretariat, where he reviewed Andhra Pradesh’s technology-enabled administrative systems. Through large digital display walls, officials presented the State’s governance architecture, including the Data Lake platform, AWARE 2.0 analytics system, WhatsApp Governance services, Sanjeevani digital health initiatives, and the Amaravati capital development project.
Chief Minister Naidu explained that the Data Lake integrates multiple government departments, enabling faster decision-making through real-time data analysis. The AWARE 2.0 platform collects live information to support rapid administrative responses, while WhatsApp Governance has brought 921 citizen services directly to people’s mobile devices, simplifying access to public services.
Gates expressed appreciation for the State’s efforts to simplify citizen services through digital platforms and closely examined systems that gather public feedback on government schemes and policies. Officials also demonstrated how Key Performance Indicators are being used to continuously assess Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth.
During the interaction, Gates enquired about safeguards for property records. Officials explained that Andhra Pradesh has adopted blockchain technology to secure land records, complemented by QR-code verification mechanisms to enhance transparency and prevent tampering.
Gates described the tax collection process as impressive, while the Chief Minister noted that implementation of the GST framework had significantly improved tax compliance and revenue collection nationwide.
A major focus of the visit was the Sanjeevani project, implemented in Kuppam and parts of Chittoor district with support from the Gates Foundation. Gates examined how health data such as blood pressure and diabetes test results are recorded and monitored. Officials explained that digital health records enable personalised lifestyle and dietary guidance for citizens, supported by artificial intelligence-based advisory systems.
Calling the initiative “very nice,” Gates appreciated the integration of AI into healthcare delivery. He also discussed future possibilities in bio-design-driven healthcare systems and emphasised the importance of affordable diagnostic services, particularly for economically vulnerable populations.
Gates reviewed presentations on the development of Amaravati as a people-centric capital city. He commended the master plan allocating nearly 30 percent of the capital area to green and blue infrastructure, including water bodies and environmental spaces. Responding to the presentation, Gates remarked “Great work,” appreciating the sustainable planning approach.
Recalling his first meeting with Gates in 1997, Naidu highlighted how Microsoft’s establishment in Hyderabad helped transform the city into a global IT hub. He outlined post-bifurcation development efforts and emphasised the State’s focus on wealth creation through technology, innovation, and industrial expansion.
The Chief Minister detailed plans to develop Amaravati as a Design and Foundry hub and Quantum Valley, Visakhapatnam as a Data-AI City, Kakinada as a Green Hydrogen Valley, Orvakal as a Drone City, Lepakshi as an Electronics-Aero City, and Tirupati as an Electronics-Space City. He stated that artificial intelligence is currently being deployed across 10 sectors and 30 government departments, alongside reforms in education aligned with industrial requirements and technology-supported agricultural development.
