Hair fall is a common concern affecting individuals of all ages and genders. Daily people lose 50 to 100 hair, that is common but if hair fall is drastically high then we need to pay attention. There are many reasons for that ranging from hormonal problem, stress, to nutritional deficiencies.
Causes
l Hereditary conditions like androgenic alopecia (male or female pattern baldness).
l Due to pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, or thyroid issues.
l Such as alopecia areata, scalp infections, or diseases like lupus or scalp psoriasis
l Drugs used for cancer, arthritis, depression, heart problems, and high blood pressure.
l Physical or emotional stress can trigger hair thinning.
l Lack of essential nutrients like iron, protein, vitamins.
Home remedies
l Regularly massaging the scalp with coconut or herbal suitable oil can enhance blood circulation to hair follicles, promoting hair growth.
l Applying aloe vera gel to the scalp can soothe and condition the skin, potentially reducing dandruff and unblocking hair follicles.
l The sulphur content in onion juice may boost collagen production, aiding hair regrowth. Apply to the scalp, leave for 15-20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
l Rosemary Oil Known to improve hair thickness and growth, mix a few drops with a carrier oil and apply to scalp.
l Ensure adequate intake of vitamins and minerals, like iron, zinc, and vitamin D.
Sujok Therapy
The highlighted area (see figure) on index finger is LI Meridian. Apply red colour on it. The highlighted colour on thumb (see figure) is a corresponding point for hair. Apply moong seeds on it and keep for five to six hours. Use a medical adhesive tape to hold them in place.
