Metro India News | Hyderabad : The Telangana High Court has granted interim relief to Bandi Sai Bageerath, son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, restraining media organisations, social media platforms and unidentified persons from publishing or circulating defamatory, speculative, sensational or unverified content relating to a rape case registered against him.

Justice EVV, while hearing W.P. No.33916 of 2026, allowed five interim applications filed by Bageerath, including a John Doe injunction against unknown persons and channels.

The Court also directed concerned intermediaries to remove or block similar offending content upon receiving details from the petitioner or his advocates. The order specifically covers AI-generated or morphed images, alleged leaked investigation material and content that could reveal the identity of the alleged victim.

The matter has been posted for further hearing on November 5, 2026.
