Hyd Police seize 155 Chinese manjha bobbins, 5 held

The Special Crime Team (SCT) of CCS, Hyderabad, has busted a racket dealing in banned Chinese manjha, apprehending five individuals and seizing 155 Monofil Gold Chinese manjha bobbins. Acting on credible information, the team found that the accused were attempting to sell the banned bobbins at high prices to unsuspecting buyers.

The five arrested are Kandesh Pawan Kumar, 43, a businessman from Badichowdi, Sultanbazar; Rohit Agarwal, 35, a businessman from Sultanbazar; B Nikhil, 19, a student from Shanker Nagar, Amberpet; Mohd Moin Mallick, 26, a private employee from Saheb ki Masjid, Chelapura; and Abdul Kareem, 24, a welder from Lalbagh Masjid, Amberpet.

The operation was led by Inspector D. Bikshapathi and his team, under the supervision of ACP G. Venkateswar Reddy. After the seizure, the accused were handed over to Sultanbazar, Amberpet, and Hussainialam police stations for further investigation and legal action.

Authorities have cautioned citizens against using Chinese manjha, warning that it poses serious risks to both humans and birds. Sellers are strictly instructed not to deal in banned manjha, as Hyderabad City Police continue to maintain close surveillance over illegal sales. The public is urged to report any sale or possession of Chinese manjha to ensure safety and law compliance.
