The Institute of Hotel Management Shri Shakti (IHMSS) celebrated International Bread Day on Thursday with vibrant enthusiasm, highlighting the rich diversity of one of the world’s most essential foods.

The event featured an impressive display of over 35 varieties of bread from across the globe. Students presented detailed insights into the origins, ingredients, and cultural significance of each variety, reflecting a deep understanding of international baking traditions. An intra-college quiz competition added an engaging, interactive element to the celebration.

As part of their hands-on learning experience, students researched, prepared, and showcased a wide range of breads, including iconic selections such as the French Baguette, Italian Focaccia, German Pretzel, Greek Pita, Ethiopian Rye Bread, and Indian Charkoni Naan. The exhibition served as a platform for students to hone their culinary and presentation skills.

The event drew several esteemed professionals from the hospitality and baking industries, who praised the students for their creativity, technique, and attention to detail. Their feedback offered valuable industry perspective, further enriching the students’ learning experience.
