Janhvi locks new project

Actress Janhvi Kapoor has reportedly signed a new film and is set to collaborate with Pagglait director Umesh Bist for the first time. The development comes days after her upcoming Telugu film Peddi, co-starring Ram Charan, sparked controversy over the portrayal of her character, Achiyamma, with a section of the audience accusing the makers of objectifying her.
While Janhvi has not reacted to the criticism, reports suggest she is now preparing to begin work on the untitled project. The film will reportedly be produced by Ekta Kapoor and Guneet Monga.
