In response to recent rumours suggesting that Kalvakuntla Kavitha, the president of Telangana Jagruthi, would be joining the Congress party, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud firmly stated that there is no chance of that happening.
During an informal discussion with reporters on Tuesday, Mahesh Kumar Goud expressed that the BRS party in Telangana lacks a future and is merely mired in its past.
He mentioned that Kavitha has been truthful regarding the corruption within the family of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, asserting that her statements have validated the Congress party's claims about this issue. According to him, the people are beginning to recognise the reality of KCR's corruption through Kavitha's revelations.
“Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has emphasised that the welfare of Telangana is his top priority, and he is committed to ensuring that not a single drop of water is wasted during the distribution of river resources between the two Telugu states,” he added.
Mahesh Kumar Goud also announced that appointments for corporation chairmen are set to take place in April, noting that there are more applicants than available positions. He revealed that the party will establish a committee dedicated to the municipal elections and stated that tickets will only be awarded to candidates deemed likely to win.
“How often can the BJP win public favour by manipulating Hindu sentiments? They are trying to gain an advantage by intertwining religion with politics, which isn’t a healthy practice. We, too, are Hindus who revere the same deities, but the Congress does not solicit votes through religious sentiments,” he remarked.
Mahesh Kumar Goud further criticised the previous BRS government's unscientific approach to district Reorganisation, stating that such practices are not seen elsewhere. He mentioned that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is now planning to form a committee aimed at implementing more rational changes and adjustments, clarifying that there are no intentions to abolish any districts.
