Kishan Reddy inaugurates Komuravelli Railway Station

G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Coal and Mines inaugurated the Komuravelli Punyakshetram Railway Station on Monday. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Minister of State of Home Affairs;  Bandaru Dattatreya, Former Governor, Haryana along with other public representatives graced the occasion. Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, SCR along with other officials attended the function.Before commencing the program, all the dignitaries and participants observed two minutes silence to pay homage to the Kargil Warriors.

The newly inaugurated Komuravelli Punyakshetram Railway Station, built at a cost of around Rs 6 crores on the Manoharabad–Siddipet line marks a significant step in improving connectivity for pilgrims visiting the famous Komuravelli Mallanna temple. Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy highlighted the historic inauguration of the Komuravelli Punyakshetram Railway Station, noting its importance for pilgrims and regional connectivity.  

He mentioned that the redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station with international standards; redevelopment of other major stations across Telangana like Hyderabad, Kacheguda, Kazipet, Warangal, etc and also large scale railway infrastructure works will boost the employment opportunities, helps in economic growth of the State and contribute to Vision 2047. Minister of State Bandi Sanjay highlighted that the railway budget provision made by central government to Telangana for the year 2026-2027 is Rs. 5,454 Crores, which is 20 times more than the budget provided during 2014-2015. The proposed Regional Ring Rail Project, Bullet Train laying of new line, doubling and Third line projects will enhance the Rail Connectivity in a big way across the region, he added.  

Earlier, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, SCR in his welcome address, stated that the Komuravelli Punyakshetram station has been redeveloped with a new building, modern amenities including waiting hall, platform shelters, facilities for Divyangjan passengers, etc which will immensely help the Rail Users alighting at this station.
