Komatireddy extends support to SSC topper

Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy came to the aid of a meritorious student facing financial hardship, ensuring that her higher education plans remained on track.

Bhavitha, a student from Boduppal, scored an impressive 582 out of 600 marks in the SSC examinations and emerged as her school topper. She also secured State Rank 634 in POLYCET. However, due to financial difficulties faced by her family, she was unable to clear pending school fee dues, leading to the withholding of her certificates by the school management.

With POLYCET certificate verification deadlines approaching, Bhavitha posted a video on social media seeking help. The video reached Minister Komatireddy on Saturday morning, prompting him to immediately verify the facts and intervene.

The minister contacted the school principal, arranged for the certificates to be brought to his residence, and met the student. After learning about the financial struggles of her family and her plans to pursue a diploma course before engineering, he paid her outstanding school fee dues of Rs 60,000, facilitating the release of all certificates.

He also provided Rs 20,000 as financial assistance and assured continued support for her education. Bhavitha and her family thanked the minister for his timely intervention, saying it restored their hope for her future.
