Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to strengthen last-mile governance by ensuring that government services and grievance redressal reach every constituency efficiently. He stressed that effective governance requires close coordination between political leadership and the bureaucracy to deliver development and responsive public administration.

Reviewing the functioning of the Real-Time Governance (RTG) Centre at the Secretariat after his five-day district tour, the Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure the RTG Centre functions round the clock, providing real-time responses to citizens’ grievances and emergencies. He also proposed regular inter-departmental coordination meetings under the Chief Secretary to improve emergency response mechanisms, citing the recent Visakhapatnam fishing boat incident as an example of the need for swift coordination.

Chandrababu said pending applications under the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) should be cleared on priority, with collectors and senior officials taking responsibility for visible results. He called for a comprehensive action plan to resolve grievances across departments and classify complaints into financial and non-financial categories for quicker disposal.

The Chief Minister also directed officials to establish Anna Canteens in tribal areas, intensify efforts to curb crimes against women, and completely dismantle ganja networks across the state. He asked departments to widely publicise the government’s anti-drug initiatives in line with the Centre’s vision of a drug-free India.
