Andhra Pradesh Education, IT, and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh congratulated young Telugu author Surada Prasad for winning the prestigious Sahitya Yuva Puraskar for his novel ‘Mairavana’. The award, conferred by the Kendra Sahitya Akademi, was announced recently, marking a significant achievement in Prasad’s literary journey.
“Heartfelt congratulations to Surada Prasad for receiving the Sahitya Yuva Puraskar for ‘Mairavana’,” Lokesh said in a social media post. “A native of Vadaramabili in Rambilli mandal of Visakhapatnam district, Prasad has shown remarkable passion for Telugu literature. Winning such a distinguished award for his second novel is truly commendable. Coming from a fishing community, he has become a source of inspiration for many young writers. I wish him continued success in reaching greater heights,” he added.
Prasad’s ‘Mairavana’ has been praised for its powerful storytelling and cultural depth, earning him recognition as one of the most promising voices in contemporary Telugu literature.
