A 28-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death in Jagtial district after posting an Instagram message about a woman from his village, police said.

The victim, Edurugatla Satish, a driver from Rachapalli village in Sarangapur mandal, had previously been in a relationship with the woman. She reportedly ended the relationship recently, citing her family’s search for a groom.

Disturbed by the breakup, Satish allegedly posted on Instagram expressing his love and warning others not to marry her. The post reportedly enraged her family members.

On Saturday around 7pm, they confronted Satish at his home and, during a heated argument, allegedly attacked him with sticks, resulting in his death on the spot, police said.

Jagtial rural police have registered a murder case against three accused Nathari Vinanji, Shantha Vinanji, and Jala. The body was sent for post-mortem, and police said efforts are ongoing to arrest the suspects.
